Video Özet Rehberi

Create A Video Abstract Of Your Research And İntroduce Your Research İn Your Own Words

What is a video abstract?

Video abstracts are short videos that allow you to introduce your research to readers in your own words and tell others why they should read your research. These short videos (up to 2 minutes 20 seconds) are an important way to engage published research, increase the visibility of studies, and increase academic recognition. The video abstracts will be published in the Turkish Management Review (TMR) and TMR social media accounts.

What should a good video abstract be?

  • A video abstract should be short (maximum of 2 minutes and 20 seconds).
  • In a video abstract, people should want to learn more by explaining clearly which question was answered in the research, what was done about the subject, and what results were achieved.
  • Visuals should be used in the video abstract: The video abstract should include images, charts, and tables to help explain the focus of the research. If using presentation slides with text or images on them, make sure there isn't too much on the slide.
  • In the Video abstract, the Author should be Natural and should be able to impress the audience with his narration.
  • The video abstract should use a language that everyone can understand and that the interdisciplinary reader can be impressed with.
  • Make sure that the sound is clear and there is no background noise in the video.
  • Since it is aimed that people read the article, not just the abstract of the video, they should be told what to do after watching the video.
